Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. In her early years, she went to her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was just six when she realized she wanted to pursue a career as an actress. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part time theatre school in Oxford where she studied acting as well as singing. In a school play and an Stagecoach show, she took as the lead role at age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie version of J.K.
