Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was exposed to many classical music and older boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move into the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties, performing traditional Latin American Music. The love she has for performing, music, and the arts keeps her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
