As a high school student she was involved in drama as well as being a member of the Student Council and an athlete on both the soccer and softball teams. She graduated from highschool in 1989, and was enrolled in Boston College. Amy was a part of an improv comedy group in college. In 1993, she received her degree from Boston College.
